I think I just pulled an A out of my ass after that final in Theory of Econ Development. Lookin' more and more like I'm breakin' a 3.0 for the first time in 3 semesters.

I am in a similar situation. I have been offered an opportunity to be a partner in a bar/restaurant venture in downtown Savannah GA. Last week I drove down and checked out the building and I have to say it is gorgeous. The major investor actually owns the building and has been looking for a reason to move to Savannah and sell his business in MD. When he came in to eat he would always pick my brain about what I would do if I owned my own place and I never put it together until he made me a proposal. I NEVER expected anything like this to happen in this town, but it does give me some satisfaction that someone recognized how much I've been busting my ass for this place even though I'm not even in on the action. Still, there is much to be done and a lot of planning and hard work. This will be the final step in achieving my goal in this business. It still hasn't totally sunk in yet.

I have a friend in Savannah who will put me up and even give me a car to use when I'm down there, so I'd be there pretty fast.

So we have a weird setup in our conference room for displaying what's on the computer. We have a projector, 2 mics that are lined up on the ceiling to capture audio in the whole room, and Aethra system that manages the computer, the camera, and the Video player. We had the guys who set it up come in and set up cameras so we could do video conferencing, but we came across a problem with having all the input in one place.

My boss wants him to be able to show the contents of the computer up on the screen, while recording the video, but with the current setup that was impossible, so after brain storming the guys said well we could do a switcher, but I put out the idea of using a video capture card instead. We could get a second computer, a video capture card, and a coordless microphone and do it that way. After some discussion they eventually figured my idea was the best and cheapest solution, as a switch would just make the whole setup more complicated and shit.

So basicallly I saved us from spending a couple grand on a switcher, an audio mixer, and the installation fees. Overall feel pretty good about myself.

Now just gotta figure out a good video capture card to get, anyone have any preferences, Biff?
