Iron Man 2 was so terrible it completely killed my interest in any of these movies going forward.

Ghostrider and Hulk also looked lie they were supposed to and they were terrible movies. Thor isn't a "mainstream" type of character. Sure any comic nerd knows him but he's no Batman or Superman that the world over knows. The robot thing is so terribly uninteresting as well. All this is, is a reason to keep tying everything together for The Avengers.

This might work in his favor. After all, who the fuck knew who Blade was, but his first movie was a big hit. I loved it back in the day (as I've probably said here 2,000,000 times).

I actually read some Thor back in the day- Jack Kirby was a fucking brilliant, creative, and altogether weird dude. Anyway, it's not a robot, it's an empty Asgardian suit of armor that's powered by the life energy of whoever "projects" into it or some shit like that.
