Thread: Frame Gride (DC): Official Thread

  1. Ah yes, yet another game I heard tons of good things about, and yet never got to importing. One day I will, it simply tends to slip my mind, as nothing's really ever made it stick out for me (despite it having so many different elements I love on games).

    Hmm... perhaps I should start searching myself...

    I remember when the original Armored Core demo came out, I must have played it for a month straight, just the DEMO!

    When the actual game came out, it became an obsession...



    Eventually I burned out on it, but I sure had one hell of time.


    If your the kind of guy who likes to micromanage every thing, and the thought of designing a robot for hours on end makes you giddy, then by all means go out buy yourself a copy.

    Some day, I plan on getting back into this series.

  3. I think the game is pretty bad, it feels slow.
    Some good music, would have been cool to play it online.
    Atleast the intro is kickass

    Does anyone know how to pick a Light, Medium, or Heavy Armored Cavalier at startup? I always seem to end up with a Medium.

  5. Well, according to the "New Game Questions Guide" here, it would seem that you always start out with a medium frame, and the questions just determine what equipment you start out with.

    I kind of wish FG had had more game to it than simply one-on-one duels. In the Armored Core games, you have the missions that you can earn money from, and you can fight against other AI-controlled pilots in arenas. It would have been sweet if FG had AC-style missions, or big platformer-style environments to roam about in, or something like that. Ah well. I've heard that FG was intended as a way for From to build their skills at working with more powerful 3D hardware and online play, so...we got duels alone. Ah well, it's great as it is.

    Armored Core 3, or Armored Core: Sigma Project would be a nice returning point.
    Check out the AC3 trailer if you haven't before. It's looking quite good.
    IGN also has some intro/gameplay footage: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

    Uh, anyway. Judging from what I've read about Frame Gride, I think I'd like it quite a bit.
    Probably not as much as the AC series though.
