Start rooting against the Packers so that Dallas' last game against Washington doesn't mean anything.

  2. It doesn't already, Dallas is going to plaster the packers.

You are right. I don't follow the Eagles, but I figure he is at least decent taking them to all the NFC conference championships and then to SB.

You saw last night why the Eagles have been successful. It's Jim Johnson's defense.

They showed his 2nd half's QB rating the past few years, it is appallingly bad.

I am surprised that JJ is not a head coach somewhere. Maybe he is happy being a coordinator. Good for him.

He's getting paid well and there are rumors of him going to Nebraska.

Yeah, I think it's been his choice. His age may also work against him. Older assistants typically don't get to be brand new head coaches.

This is true in terms of the NFL, anymore you have to be in your 30's to get a gig.

Call me crazy, but the law of averages is in Favre's favor. What is he, like 0-8 lifetime at Dallas, including the playoffs?

Not to take anything away from Dallas, they're a really good team this year and Romo appears to be a legit QB in this league, but the Packers will be playing for two things:

1.) Home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
2.) The fact that they haven't won in Dallas under Favre. This team looks like they're having fun when they play, they have an explosive passing offense that seems to have found its running game, they have a solid defense, and one of the all-time greats at QB.

If the Packers entered the game with none of the above, I'd agree - they'll get plastered, but they're not. They're entering this game pretty well-equipped. Granted, the Boys could essentially be playing for the same thing, but they have more to lose from this game than what the Packers stand to gain.

I think this will be one of the more physical games of the week, given what's at stake; but I don't care what history says, don't be suprised if the Packers pull the "upset" this week.
