Good to know that the disc version doesn't have that. More likely to pick that up if anything. The headset seems to be selling a bit lower than $20 right now, and it's not the headset I'd like to own, but it beats nothing right now. But yeah, my issue with the DLC locking is that I live with 3 other guys and I don't want to have to say, "Yeah, only play on the unranked servers." I'd like them to just be able to use their own accounts, so this is probably the better way to go.

So I decided to download this, played some ranked matches on the SCEA servers for a few hours, won all types of badges and ribbons, went to check my stats and it said I played zero games. WTF?!

Game is fun. Not great, and certainly no Gears, but who was expecting it to be. Get it if you have a PS3 so you can actualy use the free online for a purpose.

LOL, you are so right. I just hold Gears on such a high pedestal, as do some others around here. I think it's important to mention that its not as good as Gears, but its still damn fun.

Yeah, I'm among that group. I've played through Gears of War 6 times already, and if someone were to ask me to play through it again with him, I'd enjoy it just as much as I did the first time.

this game just went $40 at retail with no headset. So those who wanted it with no DRM and cared less for the headset, there ya go.
