I see people drive with them on as well. My cousin despises them and hates them. I can understand on a luxury car since it'll probably cost a hefty penny but on a American car? Like on a Geo?!

Perhaps, but the Fit is a hot car right now and for a while there was a backlog of orders, so I can see why they wouldn't offer any incentives on it.

I'm still not sure why you have been so into the G5, when the Cobalt has been out for years. Is it because it's a Pontiac and not GM?

  3. Pontiac still = GM.

Also the base packages are very different, the G5 offers a lot more standard than the Cobalt does, which is reflected by the fact the Cobalt rings in about 2k less than the Pontiac. But if you equaled them up they're about the same, so I'd rather get on that has everything standard. Plus We had a coupon (Which was reflected by the AUtoshow returns) for 1k cash back with Pontiac.

  4. I don't get the appeal of the Fit. It doesn't have nearly as much room as a Civic, and it's just about as expensive as a Civic, the interior isn't as nice, and it doesn't drive nearly as well.

  5. It's about 2k less than the Civic and gets better gas Mileage. If you can drive a manual the gap is even more than 2k.

  6. Base price difference is $900 between the Fit and Civic. And the Civic gets 36mpg and the Fit gets 34mpg.

$900 difference for a better looking, better driving, and all around nicer car. Like I said, I just don't get the appeal of the Fit.

Don't believe the hype, most idiots have no clue how to really use a manual and end up having worse gas mileage.

  8. Everywhere I've seen, the base model of the Fit is 13.5k. The sport model is 16.5k.

Ok so the Civics MSRP is only about 1k more than the Fits, and obviously you're not going to pay the MSPR.

That has nothing to do with what I was saying, since Manuals don't really effect gas mileage enough to care.

Sure they do, if you power shift or shift at really high revs you'll lose 4 or 5 mpg. Plus, you'll be dropping another 1500 for an extender pedal for your clutch.
