Good call, but don't get into an accident.
Good call, but don't get into an accident.
Why, I have a residence in Ohio as well
There are alot of fraudulent claims in NYC, not to mention all the fuckers who have out of license plates and live here to save on insurance. So the insurance companies are cracking down hard on out of state license that have accident claims. It was all over the news last year as I recall. In fact, my neighbor (who had a North Carolina license plate) got his car stolen/stripped, and the insurance didn't cover the damages b/c they deemed him as lying sack of shit (which he was).
Hmmm, had not thought about it, interesting.
Congrats thief
I use Zaino. It's a pain in the ass to do it, but worth it. When I do a simple wash it comes out looking like i just waxed it, even months after the application. I clay bared too. That was really tedious, but it's kinda cool because you can feel it work as you do it. Afterwards you can run your finger on the car and it's perfectly smooth and even screeches like a fresh washed glass. You don't need anything but Z2 and ZFX if you want to spend the least. That's all I used. Get Stoners in the aerosol can to clean the glass, you can find that at wallmart. I got the Zaino leather conditioner for the interior and I highly recommend that too (it's also for interior plastics, not just leather). It smells really awesome.

I got a similar rebate from Mazda. If it works like mine, here is what you do:
1. Call the finance company you are currently with and ask if there is a fee for early pay-off, or if there is anything in the small print in the rebate that you have to hold the loan for at least 6 months or something. For Mazda (Ford) there wasn't. Even if you asked at the dealership and they said you do need to hold it, they lie, mine did. You have to call GMAC directly and ask. Get the current payoff total from them too.
2. Assuming you can pay it off with no penalty, go to your credit union and apply for the loan there to re-finance. They will still consider the vehicle a "new vehicle", because they base it on model year. You should be able to re-finance immediatly at a better rate.
3. Send your check to GMAC and kiss their bad rate goodbye.

I didn't find the Zaino leather (or glass) cleaners to be worthwhile (at least for how expensive they are). In fact, I find any good old furniture leader application to be better and much cheaper. For glass, I use Invisible Glass (u can get them from Target). Works well, I use it to clean windows at home and mirrors too.
Other thann that, I find Zaino to be really easy to put on (once you know what you are doing). I agree, ZFX + Z2 is all you need. I do like Z-6 because you can do quick cleaning/touch up while waiting FOR YOUR GF TO FINISH SHOPPING FOR SHOES.
It is a pain in the ass in the same way that all waxing products are a pain the in the ass, especially since they recommend multiple coats. I usually do 3 coats at a time, which takes me all afternoon. Wash, wax, wipe, wax, wipe, wax, wipe.
This is what i did day 1 lol. Dawn wash, dry, claybar, wash, dry, wax, wipe, wax, wipe, wax, wipe, windows, with a couple coats of the interior stuff thrown in during that time.
The thing about Zaino's leather conditioner (or any car interior product vs. a home product) is that it has all the UV protectants. Not sure household stuff would be as good because of that.
