You must like dudes. It's Hulk with a slightly newer coat of paint. You run, you jump (far) you pick up cars, you throw cars.
AaronChance is right on the money. This game is dumb as shit and there's nothing obviously wrong with it, but something just isn't clicking. And despite that, it's still fairly fun. I'm glad I rented it, though. I would have seriously regretted buying this.
The disguise mechanics are beyond retarded, though. You can eat a facility commander in front of everyone, run away and hide until the alert dies down, then waltz back in while disguised as the commander that everyone just saw horribly murdered - and nobody will blink an eye.
A couple reviews go on and on about the enemies basically Zerg russhing you the entire game and how simply climbing buildings and running around town alerts the authorities. No thanks.
I never understood why anyone was excited for this. Add this to the evidence pile of how you can get a game's quality right 3/4 of the time before it even ships.
Truth be told, all they really had to do to get the sucker purchase was beat inFAMOUS to the market, and they didn't. The game screams amateur.

It has come to our attention that a small number of PS3 Prototype owners have been having issues with installing the game. This is a known issue and there will be a patch released on PSN shortly (details to follow).
If your PS3 tells you that you have insufficient hard drive space to install, even if you do, you are going to need to change the available space on your hard drive by 700 MB. This can be done in a number of ways including the following:
- Installing or uninstalling another PS3 game that allows hard drive installation.
- Downloading game demos.
- Removing downloadable content.
- Adding / removing MP3's or movies from the hard drive.
- Etc.
Once you have made the necessary change to your Hard Drive space insert the Prototype disc back into your PS3 and it should now install.
The goal of this is to change the available space on the hard drive. You may need to try a combination of any of the above suggestions.
We take this issue very seriously and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thanks for your patience!
- Team Prototype
