It seems Jack's body count goes from 10 to 30 from Season 1 to Season 2. Impressive.

That chart just shows how little he does in Season 1. Notice the first couple of kills are in like the second episode and then nothing happens until like the end of the show.

Victor Drazen was a pretty cool bad guy. Too bad his death was such a whimper.

I guess I don't get the show, either, whatever that means. Jack Bauer is nowhere close to like, Bruce Willis in Die Hard, and a million dumb, shitty things didn't even need to happen to his wife, just like 2 or 3,

Season 2 kicks the shit out of Season 1. I liked Season 1 but couldn't help adding up everything ridiculous as it went along; regardless it was total fun. Season 2 was epic.

I've been thinking about this a little, and I think watching the entire season on DVD probably hurt my enjoyment of it.

Somebody before mentioned that it was like an homage to the old cliffhanger serials, and that kind of makes sense to me. Maybe the whole point was to see just what was going to go wrong and where the next episode would leave you hanging, only to be resolved the next week and leave you hanging with a new problem.

Watching every episode back to back and expecting a regular storyline probably got me into the wrong frame of mind for what was coming and really hurt how I felt about the show. I DO remember people back in the day talking about what had happened in the previous show and waiting for the next one to air; missing out on that probably didn't help either.

24 was pretty much the ultimate "watercooler" show, yeah.

It didn't ruin it for me. I basically watched seasons 1-5 directly into season 6 all in a row. I loved every single click of that clock.

How is he better than Batman? If I saw him get into like, a fight or do one cool thing other than get captured and yell a lot into a phone I might care. Like I said, maybe in Season 2.
