Thread: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet

  1. People were bitching that the game tells you where to go next.

  2. I'm enjoying ITSP quite a bit. I wish there was a way to turn off some of the hand-holding, but for the most part it's not overdone. It's definitely more linear than Metroid, but oddly enough I don't have a problem with that. It's kind of nice not to have to look at every square millimeter of wall to see if maybe there's a secret there.

So it's Other M without the insulting story, overwrought cutscenes, and slowly descending slide of a once great franchise into Joke Time Territory?

Also with a better aesthetic, better controls, fun combat, and at a fraction of the cost.

This game is soooo good, but it's super short =[

Pretty much ended just when I was getting into it. I want more.

  7. That's how I felt about Bastion.

Honestly, better that feeling than "oh man, WHY did I spend so much time on this shitty game?"

Yeah that's true. I still have some arts to find and there's a little co-op mini game to get achievements on. Totally great game experience, polished out the ass and back.

Has anyone else tried lantern run?

I'm only bringing it up because Darmonde, his brother and myself just got the two lantern run achievements and it feels so good.

The mode itself is like fucking pounding on your testes with a brick. I think I hate roguelike elements.
