I'm going to give the demo another shot on the new card, if it can't run without any hick ups I'm just going to wait until Feb and the 9 series.
mmm..according to those NPD dudes Crysis sold only 86,633 in the US. Not sure of the euro, canada or downloaded (EA Store/Direct 2 Drive) numbers but its still disappointing. I guess the steep requirements hurt it too much even though the gameplay is plenty intact on low settings. The game runs well for me on high (with those very high cfg tweaks) but not everyone has a dual core cpu/8800gt combo. Hopefully the numbers grow and the game sells well elsewhere before it hits bargain bin prices. I appreciate Crytek for pushing the envelope with Crysis visually so hopefully it'll be a good holiday for them saleswise.
Poor Unreal Tournament 3 fared FAR worse according to those dudes and thats backed up by the empty servers I see when playing but thats a topic for another thread.
By the way..holy hell Crysis is freakin hard sometimes. Even with the suit powers things can get really overwhelming. I love it!
Crysis didn't have much marketing. I have a feeling it will do better in Europe where they had TV ads and such.
crysis didn't do well because everybody hates vista and nobody wants a game they can't run at the highest quality
what happens when you stack 3000 barrels and then knock them down?
