Hopefully I'm not the only weirdo who liked this movie.
I like weird movies but they have to have their own twisted logic, not a complete lack thereof.
Lynch is a source of much controversy as to whether his movies actually have any kind of point or coherent plot beneath the strange imagery, music, etc. I have read numerous essays by cocksure college students claiming to be the definitive decoding of one Lynch film or another. Are any of them right? Is the whole of Mulholland Dr. a masturbatory fantasy? Who knows? One thing is for sure, Lynch isn't going to provide an answer. Personally, I have a lot of love for absurdist, abstract directors, even if I have no idea what the hell I just saw means..if anything.![]()
I don't think theres a lack of logic, i think alot of the movie is more for setting mood than unfolding the plot (of which there is one, albeit an abstract one). I don't think there has been a movie where the ending has affected me moreso than Mullholland Drives, its so utterly creepy and disturbing.
I recently got Lynches latest movie "Inland Empire", which is supposed to be even harder to follow and even more disturbing. I hope to watch it tomorrow.
Hey Sqoon. We were wrong, this isn't from Darjeeling. It's actually from Hotel Chevalier - a tie-in short that you can get free off iTunes.

p.s. I have no idea what movie freakblondie is from.

hmm, I'm gonna take a totally random shot, but that looks sorta like one of the kids in COTC.
