Thread: Official Wii VC/WiiWare thread

  1. I got it today and loved it as well. S-ranked the bronze courses and got some new colors for my bike! The gameplay is classic Excite Bike, and being able to play online is a great touch. I haven't fiddled with the track editor yet, but I can't wait to see what other people have come up with.

  2. So yeah, Excitebike is pretty fucking good. I felt like an 8 year old playing it again wtf.

I see you were cooping with Mzo.

    Don't stop, I'm almost there.

  5. Other than having to shake the remote to get back on the track with both control schemes, I'm loving Excitebike so far.

Edit - It plays a lot better with the classic controls, but I wish there was a way to mix the classic controls with the isometric view instead of having that view tied to tilting the remote. Very strange decision there, and the forced remote shaking is really annoying. Track creation is easier than I expected, but doesn't really give you many options to work with compared to Trials HD.

Jesus. Why the fuck does Nintendo feel the need to shoe horn that garbage into every single game?

  7. See my feelings about that in the NSMB thread.

  8. Excitebike looks awesome. I wasn't going to spend any more money on games this year but that's too tempting.

And I read somewhere that VC Wonder Boy III has an option for FM sound mode which is cool. Anyone know if it's bullshit or not?

Okay, maybe my gamer card should be taken away, but I actually prefer to shake the controller to get back on the bike instead of mashing the buttons.

I thought shaking the controller was fun. Reminded me of watching other people shake the NES pad when they screwed up in games, which amuses me.
