Correct, Destin you are the man today!
I was always taught in psych classes that IQ tests are only even marginally efficient at determining within one standard devation. Meaning basically, are you smart, retarded, or normal. Outside of that, it rapidly loses validity.

I said "stuck." Neanderthals could fix a boat. Nothing impressive there. Anyone can learn to fix an engine, but how many can create one? Anyone can market a genius's invention and become rich. Generalizations, sure, but that's what you're talking in, too.
Well, from a strict economic perspective, the guy who creates the engine has an infinite positive impact for the rest of society. The guy who fixes it only helps within his lifetime.

Neither, I'm pretty indifferent on most things. I tend to irrationally like more selfless acts than the more selfish though, because they are often more interesting. Not saying all engineers are selfish, or all inventors are selfless, but its far easier to understand the engineers motivation than the inventors.

you know, shit, if Dee Dee Ramone came back from the grave and offered to split an eight ball, I just might. And that is saying a lot, cause I've put a lot of time and money into the shit in my head.
this is all so relative.
BUT, few inventors are truely selfless. I don't know where the hell people get the idea that they are. They are just obessive cumpulsive about something. They are about as selfless as people who have to master video games or nail a guitar solo. They are just people, with skills and intelligence, that MUST know or built something. Very few do it for some selfless good of humanity horse shit.
