You can replace any engineer, you can't replace the guys who have spent 10 years building it nearly as easily.

BUT, few inventors are truely selfless. I don't know where the hell people get the idea that they are. They are just obessive cumpulsive about something. They are about as selfless as people who have to master video games or nail a guitar solo. They are just people, with skills and intelligence, that MUST know or built something. Very few do it for some selfless good of humanity horse shit.
If the guitar player nails to solo to impress, then its worthless. If he nails it because he had to play that thing, then its respectable, in my eyes. I have read a bit about the more famous inventors, and most were just so curious about their ideas, that they had to keep trying new things. Tesla was terribly poor, and he kept inventing, and was amazing. He just did it for the sake of it, thats what is impressive to me.

We should change the thread title, nobody cares about the arrogant 9 year old anymore.

  5. I was tested in college with a few other people in my pysch class. The test was all about patterns with numbers, and some other goofy shit. I got a 140.

I don't even come close to considering myself smart. I can pick up and learn things quickly, but after awhile they lose there luster. I'm in the group of people that like to learn about random topics.

While family, friends and co-workers call me smart. I just attribute to a somewhat decent photographic memory.

I"m not going to read 3 pgs worth of TNL-opining.

Suffice to say that a 9yo will OF COURSE be bored in college.

    He can't fuck yet.

    1) I lost all of my friends, the top kids at school and my peers/rivals and had to learn how to socialize all over again, and I learned that I didn't have to be some stuck-up elitist smartfuckwad
    2) Because the state of Illinois is fucking retarded, my entire 9th grade was spent retreading everything I learned in 8th.

That was the end of that, I no longer had any enthusiasm for school, and when we moved back here because of 9th grade I was no longer on the super-accelerated path. I still have problems with school, because I learned I can be super successful without even really attending. It's why I haven't graduated from college yet, I have taken too many breaks to pursue other interesting things.

However at this point in my life my big problem is that I find too many things interesting, and I can't focus on specializing in an area that will be giving me a career.
I suffer from lack of motivation as well. To many interesting things to get into, but not sure if that what I want to do all the time for the rest of my life.
