The real question is who is the stupidest person on these boards. It's not me, shitheads. I mean, if we have Mensa quality posters, then we have to people who are developmentally challenged, right?

It isn't me, but I'm pretty stupid when it comes to spelling. I'm kind of stupid in grammar to. But I feel that is arguable because ultimately my poor grammar is from me being lazy and just typing like I talk and not learning the official rules of writing. I could probably improve my grammar if I cared and put time into it.

To this day I don't really understand why I spell so poorly. Everyone says you pick it up from reading. But I read all the time, and read on a fairly high level, but I do not improve. I read text books, books, novels, rpgs, and tons of stuff on the internet, but I still suck at it.

Two possibilities come to mind.

1) I really am brain damaged. I was born early and that part of my brain may have never fully developed.

2) It may be a by product of my ability to organize and simplify information. That is why I excel in math and science. I'm very good at taking a complex system, stripping it to its bones, learning it and applying it. There is a good chance I'm doing this to how I spell words. I try to group words that sound alike together, despite their different spellings. I've also tried to simplify things by combining my writing ability with my speaking ability, which introduces all sorts of errors.

I don't know man, I've spent a fair amount of time talking to Gohron off the boards and he's certainly no dumbass.

Yeah, add me to the list of people who could've skipped some grades in school but chose not to.

I think it was definitely the right decision, as it kept me on the same track as some of my best friends in grade school, and it kept me at the same physical level as everyone else when it came to athletics (I played basketball competitively almost year-round from about 1st grade all the way through high school).

IQ really isn't everything though, especially in the modern world. Gumption is much more important imo.

A person can be intelligent and still do dumb things. It doesn't matter how smart a person is if they lack experience and/or have emotions/disorders that push them to act in a stupid way.
