Thread: Heroes

  1. As much as I've kept just low key on this series (I watch, but I rarely discuss or comment on it), it has been going downhill for quite some time. However, even with tonight's episode being as retarded as it was - it still shone brightly when Sylar just fucking outright OWNED Arthur Petrelli. That shit was brutal and awesome at the same time.

    Also: Cake?
    XBL Gamertag = XMrWhitefolksX

  2. Sylar WAS the highlight of tonight's otherwise usually crappy storytelling.

The Cake line stole the fucking SHOW.

    Also

I'm guessing that Arthur can revive once the bullet is removed from the brain. However , doesn't Arthur have the power of precognition via his paintings as well as the power of hiro to move through time/space. Surely he would have predicted his own demise before then and use hiro's powers to escape BUT i guess that it's heroes , it is what it is.

The usual Heroes comic book-esq cheap way out.

  3. I tuned in right when mommy gave the gay asian "the glow", Bruce Leeroy style. flicked it back off. when i came back to it Arthur was leaking out of his head.

The show is bad enough but my local affiliate doesn't broadcast the HD stream full power yet so I get some fancy DirecTV bad signal style drop of sound or Atari graphics.

  4. To add to my post:

in yet another usual Heroes motif, there is no fucking security surrounding the evil mastermind compound. I mean seriously? Even if Arthur thought he was god, he would have had bunch of bodiguard/security, not even counting his super power henchmen NBOB and Flint.

Oh, why am I even bother bitching about this.

  5. Spoilers LOL

    Inside Sylar's mind last night:

"Man, I sure wish I had something here on the beach with which I could burn a body. Hey, wait a second...what's that? A full lighter fluid bottle? Wow! Just happened to be here. Perfect."

"Let's see, I want to kill the most powerful person with abilities on the planet. So I'll stop the bullet heading for his head with my TK. Wait...he has TK too? And he's more powerful than me? Won't he then use his TK to push me away or kill ME with the bullet? Naw."

"Ok, Arthur's dead now. Whew. Wait a second...he has Peter's healing ability. So once the bullet in his head is removed he'll come right back to life. I better take his head off then. Naw, I'll just make a funny remark and walk away."

"Let's see, the one Hero who has what might me the most powerful ability of them all (The Haitian) is weak and on the floor thanks to Arthur. Maybe I should kill him and take his super power too? Nawwwwww."

"It's a darn good thing that Elle's cell phone has a special directory to tell me what ability these other people have."

  6. Last night was the best ep of the season so far. The part with Hiro and his mom was good and Sylar whooped all kinds of ass. The cake line was dope as hell. The best part about it was him just walking out of the building covered in blood. Evil Sylar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Good Sylar.

Goddamnit Peter is bitch and there is no cure. I honestly hope they kill him off soon.

  7. The way time works in Heroes has already been established and reinforced several times over. It is linear, point A to point B. If you are in point A and go into the future you go to B, if you change A then B will completely change to something else and it can not go back to how it was. You can only travel into the current time line, not alternate time lines (no jumping to point C). So when you look into the future you see Point B, not what Point B will become after some one goes back and fucks around with the past.

So, with that said, Isaac Mendez writing the current future plot line in his comic is fucking retarded. At the time of his death, he would have only of been able to see the CURRENT future time line, NOT what WOULD eventually happen after several revisions.

Either way, using a mysterious unpublished comic as a way to push the story forward is a cheap, lazy and ill conceived crutch.

  8. Dude don't think too hard it's already been established that the writers suck ass. Right now just be glad Sylar is evil again and wait for the Season 1 writer guy to start writing eps again.

  9. With the exception of Sylar, last nights episode was painful to watch. Lol, let's have Hiro cook, that will be hilarious! And as usual Hiro gets owned, seriously, how the hell was this guy supposed to turn into the badass future Hiro we saw in S1?

And another hole to add to the already sieve-like story, if Arthur knew Claire was the catalyst, and he has the ability to teleport and time travel, wouldn't he just have to jump to any point in time where he could know where Claire would be (like when she's in school or something like that, and take it from her then?
"I don't like fellas that kill me. Not in general."

  10. Only real problem I had with the episode is we have the best character moment with Hiro we've had at least since his father died last season, and then he gets WTFpwned by Papa Patrelli. I am pretty sure I wasn't the only one who thought this would somehow be a major turning point for him and develop to be something more than a joke due to his incompetence.

It was so sad. His father thinks he will always be a failure and never amount to anything. HIs mother does believe in him, gives him the light. Then he proves his father right by putting up as much resistance as you or I would. Villains like Slyar and Arthur seem so awe-inspiring in comparison to heroes like Peter and Hiro for no other reason that they do not seem to have the random episodes of total retard or indecision like the good guys. If they are going to continually hamstring the two most powerful heroes, they might as well get rid of them or put them in retirement. As of now, I feel like any random schmuck off the street could beat Hiro or Peter at this point.

Maybe that's why they took Peter and now Hiro's powers away, at least then it gives them a reason to get run over by every other character in the series. Hell Sylar without his powers gave Noah a better fight than Hiro gave Arthur. Just sad imo.
interesting thoughts. I agree with Hiro and Peter analysis.
