Law & Order got canceled. That's the big tragedy this week in TV news.

it's about 2 years too late but at least it happened, now there's a free time slot for Zucker to put in some miserable excuse for a show to run another 5 years and/or a show everyone loves but will be cancelled 6 episodes in

L&O started going downhill after orbach died

He wasn't even on the show anymore when he croaked in real life.

But it turning into SVU didn't sit well with me.

I haven't seen it since moving to NY. I'll catch it once Netflix starts streaming the newer seasons. The last season I saw was when that lab dude tried to kill Elliot.

That's what I am talking about. When I watch L&O I just want to see the crime, investigation, and court scenes. They can mix it up a bit but when they start doing dumb shit with the characters going undercover or their cop cars getting blown up or whatever I just have no interest.

Claire plowed through like 10 seasons of SVU while we were in New York. SVU is awesome television, it is like the ultimate show to put on while you are doing some other bullshit like mopping or building a boat in a bottle or whatever. Going back and watching the old ones is the best because you can watch every ripped from the headlines crime or hot piece of technology get made into a ridiculous episode. The GTA-themed episode is probably the best.

I haven't seen anything past season 7 or so, so I don't have a lot of experience with the inter-character politics of the show. Elliott is FULL OF RAGE. Olivia has SEXUAL HANGUPS. That is about as much as I care to know.

One of the best things about the show is the cameos, especially for people who weren't big stars. Like, oh there's ____ playing some perv rapist. Awesome.
