Thread: Ninja Gaiden 2

God of War's camera is perfect.

  2. Ninja Gaiden's camera is horse shit and at the very least needs to be pulled back. Not that any of the games listed so far is as bad as Onimusha 2 had it.

Yeah, because that makes perfect sense. Adapt on the fly during hectic gameplay, or babysit the camera. If you don't do that, then you're not playing the game right? I mean, I'm not trying to be confrontational on this one, but that's flat out retarded.

And as was stated earlier, GoW has a phenomenal camera.

  4. bah if you have to rely on the camera you aren't a ninja at all and may as well trade it in for a copy of barbies horse adventure

No, not because you don't adapt or reset the camera, but if you're playing the game right --- blocking, knowing where you are, knowing where your enemies are, knowing when your enemies have stopped attacking, knowing when you should attack, being able to pull off your attacks effectively, etc. --- you wouldn't be complaining about the camera, "irregardless" if it's in the optimal position all the time or not. Basically this:

What the hell? Dude, I've been doing all of that. I memorized the attack patterns, how I should escape, etc. but nothing is going to help me when I run and the camera INSTANTLY changes perspective making me run into a pillar or her motherfucking bubble attack.

You're just making up excuses so this game isn't sullied and you can keep it as pristine in your mind as you have been able to all of these years. This camera should be a boss itself.

I played through both Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black a couple of summers ago, and I never had a single problem with the camera in either game. So either I'm doing something right or you're doing something wrong.

  8. This is silly. You're blaming me for the shit camera they program into the game? Devil May Cry had the same problem in a few parts. So did Mario 64, Shinobi, and a few other games that try to make a perfect game but forget to focus on the POV. I shouldn't have to adjust to it or have to battle it during mid-fight.

Exactly. Ninja Gaiden's camera is not better or worse than most other 3D games. I'm not blaming you, but I wonder why you're having such a difficult time if you could work with the camera in other games with similar issues.

I never had this problem with the other games. Ever.
