the scythe is good too, I like how it's pretty much the bastard son of the dragon blade and the lunar

So what about the camera complaints or cheap off screen fireballs etc? Is it as annoying as the critics worried?

I'd say it's probably the same as ngb as far as that goes, I've had an occasional camera fuckup but nothing a little jumping and right triggering didn't fix up

one thing I did notice though is that the ai seems to be smarter than I remember it being in black, these fuckers will flank you and break your guard while another nearby goes in for an attack/shuriken (and one ninja I knocked into a hole did that flipping wall climb to get back out of it, which I thought was pretty cool)

I do agree the claws are fun as hell as well. The obliteration moves are an excellent addition, the extreme amounts of gore are awesome. After a particularly gruesome series of battles ended Ryu stopped to shake the blood off of his sword leaving splatters all over.

The AI is possibly a little better than black, but not significantly better I'd say. Although considering these are just the starting enemies it could get rough.

Black fixed that and was much more challenging, I'd put Black on about the same level as Shinobi.

I finished Black on normal, but could never get past level 5 or 6 in Shinobi on normal. Maybe Shinobi is just boring and that BS sword that drains your health.

The sword was ridiculous. Yeah it became awesome if you charged it up but the cameras were so awful that you'd run into another enemy or a pit before you slash the boss.

Bad news for anyone who didn't grab the JP demo yet: looks like they put up a new version that is now region locked. Microsoft's stupidity knows no bounds.

EDIT: looks like it's even worse than that, as people who actually live in Japan get the "Not available from your current location" message too!
