  2. Did it at least have the "See you at the party" line?

Good thing they improved on the original by making Quaid Arnold instead.

We Jews refer to that as a nebbish.

Nope. No "I got five kids to feed" either. A three-titted hooker shows up and says "I'll make you wish you had three hands." But that's about it.

Oh, and Colin Farrell does say "If I'm not me, then who the hell am I?" but it isn't as cool as when Arnold says it. In fact, while the Arnie isn't known as a master thespian, I have to say that he actually expressed emotion and his frustration with his drab, ordinary life better in the original movie than Farrell did in the remake; as a result, it made more sense why Arnold would want to go to Rekall, whereas it just felt forced and random when Farrell did it. I mean, they showed Colin at his shitty job, getting passed over for promotions, blah, blah, blah, but even though he acted mad about it, it just didn't ring true...Arnold actually seemed genuinely sad, I thought. I think this is a combo of Arnold's innate charisma and working with a good director and Farrell just being a shitty actor with zero intensity.

Oh, BTW, Cohaagen is like this grandpa politician in the remake, and Farrell has a big fistfight with him at the end and almost loses. LOL-worthy.

  10. Saw this and enjoyed it. Don't have an irrational attachment to the first, though. I really liked how he checked for the scar on the real girl's hand at the very end. Would have been quite annoyed if he hadn't.

I also hate movie audiences as much as ever.
