Arcana Heart 2 and Akatsuki Blitzkampf AC Announced for Arcades

I've been picking up random issues of Arcadia just to read up on Arcana Hearts, I want to play this game like yesterday.

The PS2 version hits either next week or the week after. I admit I have it pre-ordered. I don't care for the fetishism as much as wanting a new fighter than isn't a revision of some other series.

Man, do I hate drill hair. It looks stupid as fuck (even given the context, which is no small feat). Now Yuki is one step closer to including every anime stereotype ever in one fighting game.

I always like more fighting games, but these both look pretty stiff and the animation is pretty bad.

I saw some videos of that Melty Blood game though, and that looks nice (except for the bland characters and backgrounds). The characters had a much more believable weight to them, impact and recoil animations feel better, and the animation is a huge step up from these two. Anyone have much experience with it? -would it be worth importing (and getting your system set up) for?

Doubt many give a shit, but the latest batch of Japanese magazine news says Arcana Heart 2 is getting a PS2 port.

I thought the original was brilliant. All they gotta do now is transplant the mechanics into a game that doesn't have a pandering garbage theme.

Yeah, it is in the latest Famitsu IIRC. I wonder what version the game will be based off of -- I suspect they will do the same thing they did in the original PS2 port, and include both the original version and the arcade update.

The original game was terrible IMO, but from the very limited time I had spent with the sequel and from people much more experienced than I it's a much better game, although the patch is very welcome (as Catherine, Angela, and the Heart arcana tend to degenerate tactics very quickly).

And pandering garbage? You mean you don't want a game where you and your friends can take their waifus and have them fight each other?

No, I don't want a Fighting game that is catered towards pedophiles and little girls, with the worst soundtrack in a game I can recall and the most generic but pedolithic cast around.
