It was exactly the GBA game with giant buttons that were obnoxious to use. The GBA game is awesome, but as an arcade game it doesn't work at all. I do put a large amount of the fault on the obnoxious controls, but being that it was an EXACT port of the GBA game didn't help, it's a bit too slow for an arcade game.

If "Wii Music" ends up resembling the kind of free-form zero learning curve creative outlet sort of deal one of the recent "TED" talks was going on about, there could be some interesting results from it.

I'm not saying anybody's going to cut a damn album with it, but it could open up young kids to looking at music as a means of expression.

That could be a good thing.

So, let me see if I have this right... you pick a song, pick an instrument, and as long as you're roughly approximating the appropriate motions and button presses, it plays the song accurately? Also, I'd agree if the thing doesn't have a 'free form' mode, it's a bit worthless, though I doubt very much that it won't.

I kind of doubt waving your arms around and making horrible, horrible noise is going to ignite some musical fire. At least not anymore than coD4 inspired me to join the army.
