I've separated your post into two parts -

I picked up Klonoa Wii and have been enjoying it a great deal. The original was never that hard but lots of fun. This one seems to do the same.

For all those who spend so much extra time in their day espousing how much they hate the Wii, I'm beginning to think they could be closet-Wii fans. Kinda like how some homophobes are closet cases...

What do I know? Between now and seeing the post for Rabbids go home though there seems to be triple the activity on how bad the Wii sucks and how no one's bothering to post about how bad it is anymore...

The first quote would have been an on-topic and pertinent post for this thread had it been the only thing you wrote.

I cannot see how the second quote is anything more than an invitation for other people to come in here and piss on the Wii.

At least, I'd like to think you're smart enough to know that your choice to show disapproval of those with a negative opinion of the Wii by referring to them as closet case fags with too much time on their hands (without even specifically addressing or replying to anything) isn't the most constructive way to make that opinion public.

I'm still on the fence of rent or buy. I'm being so much more picky with purchases these days.

100% rental, even at $40 on Amazon. When RFA is $20, and many major PC releases are $40, I can't justify a 10 year-old technology remake of a 20 year-old game at $40. Considering DVDs cost nothing to produce, and the Wii requires about a week and a half of development time to optimize, the games should be significantly cheaper.

My rule of thumb is never pay more than $30 for a Wii game. Thus far I have been successful (got Mario Galaxy for that price when it first came out).

I like your rule, but I've completely failed at following it thus far. Of course, I don't have very many games for it anyway.

It is actually very easy considering that I haven't turned on the Wii for 3 months and there really isn't any game that I want to buy immediately. I thought about MadWorld for $30 (that was a quick drop) and then decided, nah, maybe $10.

Yeah, I play Konami games on the VC. That is essentially the only reason I still own a Wii. If Konami would pull its head out of its ass and release some compilations of Castlevania, Contra, and Goemon, the thing would be sold.

I haven't bought a VC game yet, the only one I will consider is Sin & Punishment (only because I never owned the original cart). But then, I will have to invest in a classic controller and I don't feel like blowing $25-30 on an old game.
