lol
well i finally ordered one today. couple questions.
-do you need a Gamecube memory card to save GC games?
-plugging it into a monitor (via component). the games that don't display in 480p will probably look like poo right?
-there is internal memory (512meg) for saving Wii games right now so an SD card isn't necessary off the bat?
-wii conect 24 is one of the main culprits for dead systems, or was rumored to be?
-You do need a GC memory card to save GC games.
-They'll look better than plugging it into anything else via anything else, so if they look shitty at least you can say to yourself that it can't look any better.
-Yeah, you use the internal memory to save Wii games
-It's really not a big issue. You can turn it off in the menu. It's really a matter of preference as it doesn't seem to consistently kill systems (if at all)
For the record, I've had Wii Connect 24 enabled for over a year now and have never had any problem.
i already picked up SMG, Super Paper Mario and Zack and Wiki so i think i'm set for a bit.
well they don't say what kind of game it is but supposedly Factor 5's new one has an engine that they had running on the PS3, now on the Wii and it's better.

That's not exactly what the story I read said. He said the engine on the Wii was doing "things" the Lair engine didn't. It could be things they didn't attempt, and they could be done poorly.
edit: I re-read the IGN story. It's the same quote, and he definitely never used the word "better":

It is better because it is 480p.
