Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised too after watching the trailer, which I saw after finding out the movie even existed. It looks fun.
AWESOME MOVIE. AWESOME. Way better than 2. It has a storyline (still wishy/washy, but WAY better than Mummy2) and the pacing is way better. Yeah Rachel Weisz not being in it sucked, but I had no idea that was Maria Bello. She had Weisz's accent down pretty good.
Only complaint is that they have that jittery camera. So, you can never see Jet-Li's kickass moves. When the action is pulled away its fucking awesome. The car chase scene was damn near stellar. Very action packed and a great popcorn flick.
Mummy> Mummy 3> Mummy 2.
