On the rocks please, and no fucking soda or water either.

Some people would even say that more just a drop of water has already ruined it. Not that I'm really one of those people. I tend to like most whisk(e)ys on the rocks but I'm less likely to want to introduce ice (and eventually water down) something I've paid a lot for.
But I really do think it's silly to shoot nice things. When I see people buy expensive vodka just to pound it the same way they would with a $6 handle of Banker's Club, I'm always a little bit confused.
When I say I had a double shot, I drank it on the rocks over the course of time. But I don't think I like it as much on the rocks since it loses some of it's power. The Mcallen I had by itself, and it was fantastic.
I wouldn't think so. It's not going to anything beneficial immediately (at least, not more than a drop of water), and in the long term it will only water the drink down and cool the drink, which certainly won't help bring out the flavors in it. But it's okay to like it!
I've had it pounded into my head that blended scotch is garbage, but I'm starting to think that single malt elitism is nonsense, even if I do enjoy a lot of single malts. I've enjoyed Johnnie Walker Black but I don't know a lot about the higher end stuff.
Everybody knows I <3 JW Blue, that's the shit, you will drink it and love it, this I command.
Actually, I learned in Scotland that ice melting brings out the full flavor of the scotch. (we are talking one cube, one)
The day I get a chance to drink a glass of Blue will be one I remember.
One would think that the Scots would be the ones to ask about this, but yeah, one cube sounds a whole lot more reasonable. I could see the slight dilution taking the harsh edge off of some scotches and bringing flavor through better and maybe not making it cold enough to take anything away from it. This calls for a lot of experimentation. I think I'll get myself a bottle of something nice tomorrow. For science. It's the only thing to do.
You have no taste
