Padme died of a broken heart... a broken heart. I almost threw up my hands and walked out on the piece of shit because of that. Also it showed off how weak and little bitch like Anakin was. It was waaaaaay to easy to bring him over to the dark side.

Did you see that show on the History Channel - yes, the History Channel - titled "Star Wars: Legacy Revealed". it aired in late May.

If not, you should - it totally breaks down every major character, the correlation between what was written in the 6 movies and greek mythology, japanese culture, world history, and politics - it was pretty mind boggling.

Anakin was a control freak (as was the the Sith Lord), thus leading to his absorption into the Dark Side. Since he couldn't prevent the death of his mother and had a chance at saving Padme through the Dark Side - he became corrupted. Depending on who you talk to, most people would do anything to save the one that they love.

  4. Fine, but Padme died of a broken heart... A BROKEN HEART. That was the lamest thing I've ever seen in a movie. And I just watched Supergirl yesterday!

And yes I did watch that back in May.

  5. ...Jedis ride hoverboards over lava, and apparently have flame retardant cloaks, or can cast heat shield magic. Come on give me a break, those movies were pathetic.

  6. Stop kidding yourself, episodes 1-3 were terrible. The only thing that was done decently throughout the three was the Darth Maul fight sequence at the end of episode 1. Even then you had to wade through the cuts to the Jar-Jar army rolling around on balls and fighting completely worthless robots that were made to kill.

  7. 1 and 2 were definitely sub-par, but 3 was good - at least for much better acting and plot development. That movie tied in the remaining three movies perfectly.

I think the transition from Anakin to Vader was perfect. It made me, at least, look at the Original Trilogy in a completly different way.

Darth Vader is a man trying to connect with his son. He's a tragic character, and I think it works really well.

Yes. Lets complain about things not being realistic in STAR WARS a series where people can move things with their minds and shoot lightning from their fingertips.
