I feel like being one of those guys and not buying any XBLA games any time soon. Ikaruga can DIAF.

I wish it was Raiden Fighters Aces coming out on April 9th instead of Ikaruga. I could never get into that game though admittedly only played it a few times on the gamecube.

It really is the stupidest thing ever. And as someone pointed out, Raiden Fighters Aces looks just like an XBLA game interface-wise. Maybe it had the same story.

Yeah, because discouraging Microsoft from actually greenlighting good games on XBLA is a good idea.

Meh; to an outsider like me (especially one who likes to think they have inside knowledge) the entire situation looks like a clusterfuck. Let's approve a bunch of shitty arcade games and glut the market to block some good releases. Brilliant! However, people ultimately follow the goods. The entire situation is stupid but it's not like they raped my sister (yet).

If MS doesn't want any more emulation-style ports of arcade games, how would Ikaruga sales push them toward changing their mind?

It's all pretty passive on my end since I'm not sure if I would have bought the game in the first place, though.

I've already bought Ikaruga twice, I think I'll pass on a third time. Honestly, I'm not sure why I bought the Gamecube version now that I think on it.

Kinda relative. I mean, I consider it to be a pretty good game, just not one of my favorites. There's a good number of shooters that I'd rather put time into. It's definitely better than Silvergun, though.
