Thread: Favorite Argonaut Game?

  1. Star Fox, no contest.

  2. To elaborate on Arthur, Buck, and Vortex...

King Arthur's World was a lemmings style game in which you lead an army of Knights and archers and other military units in an attempt to defeat evil warlords. Think lemmings with fighting.

Buck Bumble was a platformy, 3d action game in which you played a robotic bee, and had to fly around and shoot at things. There were diferent missions during the game, most just variations on "go here kill that, don't die".

Vortex was a mech combat shooter. You play a giant transforming robot that blows stuff up while trying to retrieve some core peices to save the world...yaddaity yaddity. Nice variety as you got to transform into a few different vehicles.

    I love babelfish.

  3. Going with Red Dog. Aside from weak strafing, this is a damn fine DC adventure. The tank design should be the true successor to Blaster Master and that sheild is awesome, nothing like bouncing enemy fire back. Though the graphics get stripped a bit the game sports a cool multiplayer mode.

Starfox was a great game, I'll have to play it again sometime to see how it's held up all these years. *-neo

Wow, that sounds pretty neat. I wasn't familiar with this game, but I think I might have to look into it. Lemmings kicked arse.

  5. How on earth could you have a proper Argonaut thread without mentioning Starglider, the greatest Atari ST game ever made?

Argonaut did exist before the SNES, you know.

  6. I'm gonna be different and say Croc 1.

  7. I'll say Red Dog only because 1) I haven't played Star Fox in so long and 2) it's my fav Argonaut game made entirely by the developer.

  8. Of course I know they existed before SNES, I just have honestly never played those games. That is why included other, I wanted to list all of their games, but there's that silly seven item limit.

  9. Star Fox is, and will always be one of my favorite games of all time.

  10. I've always liked the original Croc. It's a fun, cute little game.
