Saw it tonight. I hate to admit it but it was an entertaining movie. It's not my Transformers, but just like Star Trek changed shit on me and Batman Begins changed shit on me Michael Bay decided he was going to do shit his way. In doing so he managed to make a movie that is not trash. There was still too much human shit. It was by far the worst example of a Michael Bay movie as a recruitment tool for ALL the Armed Forces, and I can see the argument behind just about everything people like IronPlant and the gang have been saying. I even noticed more. Like the fact that the carrier sunk in the Atlantic is the same carrier which launches the air strikes which come to save the day.

But I laughed. I enjoyed Prime kicking ass. I enjoyed BumbleBee kicking ass. Somehow I even managed to enjoy the Negrobots and Agent Jockstrap.

You might even say I'm looking forward to part 3.

edit: oh and what I found wrong with Bay getting Fox to audition by washing his car was two things...first he used his own car. That's just wrong. And second, he has no idea what happened to the footage. Meaning he's wanking it to it or is waiting to sell it to some porn site.

Saw this tonight for free. I paid too much. First movie, yeah, it was pretty stupid, but it was still fun and kept me entertained. This one wasn't even able to accomplish that.

I just... god this movie is a mess. Editing is terrible, making hard to keep track of what the fuck is going on most of the time. Everything feels random, nonsensical... it's like, we're here, now we're there, now we're in another place, wheee! Locations aren't established or set up, they're just brought in and out randomly at total whim.

Even worse, that's exactly what happened with the robots themselves. Whatever robot we need to do this jawsome scene at any random time, that's who is there! (This wasn't helped at all by the fact that unless you had looked at things online to know who most of the new robots were, you wouldn't have a clue. Nobody got introduced!) The total lack of any caring of which robots were used drove me crazy every time I saw a Constructacon that was already running around as part of Devistator. And, yeah, him... the stinkin' cartoon movie gave more weight and meaning to the fact that multiple robots were combining into one big guy. How do you bring in a combiner and then just have it be like, "Yeah, you know, they're combining to make a bigger guy. Oh well."

I went into the movie thinking that the whole "Niggabot" thing was probably over-blown, but boy was I wrong. I'm white, and I was offended. Making things worse was the fact that they added freakin' Arcee to the movie, but instead of having what was once a major character be one of the people to help Sam, the dumbest and most borderline offensive Autobots got all of the screentime.

Also, Jesus... how much grade-school humor can one person cram into a movie that isn't a grade-school level comedy? Yeah, I know, it's a movie about toys; there's still a big difference between the argument of "taking it seriously" and filling the thing with eye-rolling "comedy" every five minutes.

I just really, really do not understand how you take a concept like "giant robots that can transform into shit fighting each other" and not come out of it with something better than this.

Oh... and fight scenes are still way too zoomed in you douchebag. (Because I know that Bay is reading this!) Also, it's a shame Bay isn't going to be doing the third movie, because I sure was hoping for yet another "odds against us" fight with the Decepticons in the desert!
