Live in a small venue, I think Patrice Oneal is the funniest guy working today, but Louis CK is way the fuck up there, and definitely better than Patrice on TV or in front of a large crowd.

Him and Larry David. Although lets give Larry David his due -- a lot of the most popular episodes of the series have his fingerprints all over them.

There's no way to know for sure, but I get the feeling that David was much more important to the show than Seinfeld was.

Larry Charles doesn't get enough credit either. All his episodes are incredible.

He is so far out of touch it's amazing he still has a job. I mean, we're talking about a guy who in the past year asked Roseanne how important the internet was and if it could have an impact on politics.

Patrice and CK both have the same thing in common -- they realize the outrageousness of racial / sexist humor and utilize it for great laughs. I hate to use the word liberated, but I think it's the best way to describe them. Stupid little shit doesn't get to them and because of that it frees them to be more honest, which is where a lot of great comedy comes from.
