Because you're a responsible, respectable adult that doesn't hide behind the excuse of you HAVING A FUCKING LIFE to clean up your shit. Cleaning up your shit is part of having a life in the first place.
That's some pretty lame excusing buttcheeks.
Nobody is too busy that they can't make 20-30 minutes sometime over the course of a couple of days to straighten shit out in their place. With logic like that you'll always live in squalor. If I had a party last night and my house looked like that I wouldn't be posting on TNL right now. I'd be dealing with it like a man. If you're going to be filthy just be honest with yourself; you're too lazy to clean up your dirt. Razor unabashedly said he doesn't give a shit about living cleanly. If you're going to do something do it all the way and have the balls to stand behind it.

A workaholic is someone who uses their "work" as an excuse to not do all of the other stuff that normal people do. Like house cleaning for instance. I figured this out by analyzing my own situation. I'm much better now that I've identified the problem.
The Gods of Rock shine down upon me...or maybe just really big computer monitors.

We had a third roomate who was going to grad school and working on set designs for about 3 shows at any one time - she left her room a cluttered mess but kept the rest of the place pretty clean. Whenever she did leave grossness, I didn't care as much because I knew she was hella busy.
This guy works 16 hours a week, doesn't go to school, and spends most of his time watching anime, going online, and playing videogames. His free time far exceeds his "more important stuff to do" time.
Not to forget that since I've lived here, I've either worked or gone to school and held a job that keeps me busy about 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. I hate spending my free time cleaning up after someone who can;t spend his taking care of himself.
And I agree with Hubbitron; I was raised to believe that your stuff should be treated with respect because it's the result of your hard work. Not to mention your home should be respectful because you should be respected by anyone entering it.
As for clutter - we have plenty of that. Our old roomate still has some of her crap here and we don't have nearly enough closet space to hold everything. I'm ok with that. It's when food is left in the open for days to mold that I don't like. Or having wrappers of food all over the living room. Or hearing him complain to me about how I move his stuff, when he clearly holds no respect for his own possessions.
