No Country for Old Men

Joel Coen and Ethan Coen bring the world of Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Cormac McCarthy to life in No Country for Old Men, featuring an all-star cast including Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Woody Harrelson and Kelly Macdonald. When Llewelyn Moss (Brolin) discovers a cache of heroin and two million dollars from a drug deal gone bad, he makes off with the valuable cargo, setting off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that involves the local sheriff (Jones), a bounty hunter (Harrelson) and most deadly of all, a menacing and cunning madman (Bardem) who flips coins for human lives.

I can't believe there isn't a thread for this movie yet. It definitely helps that the Coen Brothers are my favorite directors, but this movie looks like it could easily be one of the best movies of the year, if not the best. A fantastic cast, fantastic story that it is based on, and a my personal favorite directors, I can't see how this could be anything less than an amazing movie.

Movies like this really make you appreciate the craft and think twice about pirating stuff. Not really enough to change anything, but I would buy this on DVD.

I haven't even seen this and I know I would buy it on DVD. Actually, I buy everything on DVD, so I would buy this twice.

Saw it last night. Chigurh is the most terrifying guy in any film ever. Only thing i didn't like was the last 20 or so minutes. i couldn't understand some of the Texas speak, and the last bit of the film made me wonder if i missed something. Good stuff, though, makes me want to read the book.
