I assume we're getting a grown-up Connor taking the war to Skynet? That'd be new territory, for the series to focus on the future and how Connor brings down Skynet (or maybe a Year One-style movie where he begins the battle).
I'd watch that.
For me it's going to come down to whether or not they're shooting for a "serious" sci-fi/action movie or a "fun" movie designed to sell tacos.

Reign of Fire actually ended up being a hell of a lot better than I expected it to be.
You see, I thought you were going in the right direction with this post, but you fucked it up at the end. Bale shouldn't be John Connor in this movie...he should be FUCKING BATMAN. It would be awesome, Batman leading the human resistance against Skynet and taking out T-800's with Batarangs and shit.
