2 GET GUD @ OVERWATCH + SWIGGITYSIX#1322
Saw this last night and enjoyed it for it's action scenes and fan service. After the movie a friend told me about the original ending, and that made me like this movie less. Since T2 these movies have not had any jaw-dropping plot developments, and that original ending would have given this movie some balls. In the original Terminator we heard about what a badass John Connor is going to be. In T2 we heard about all the badass stuff John Connor would do, yet he was an effeminate little douche. In T3 we heard about more badass stuff John Connor would do, yet he was a slightly less effeminate midget douche. In the tv show we again hear about the great accomplishments of John Connor, yet he's still a wimpering shitheel.
How awesome would it be if the reason John Connor was able to perform mythic feats in order to save humanity is that he was really a terminator, and everyone was timetraveling and dying to protect the skin of an otherwise useless guy named John Connor so that it could be worn by a terminator? That would explain how John Connor, who has always been a sackless turd, could defeat the machines. It would also make Skynet's decision to create Marcus ironic, as they'd essentially be creating John Connor in their attempt to kill him.
Instead we got John Connor getting a heart transplant from a field surgeon and a movie that really adds nothing to the Terminator franchise, plot-wise. Whoever the fuck changed that original script should be shot for having no balls or vision.
Yeah, the more I think about it the more I like the original ending idea.

We see the T-600 (almost every time in ripped fake human head form) and the T-1, but where were the T-700s? I don't remember seeing any since the only two skinless Terminators were the T-600 at the beginning and T-800 at the end.
I'm guessing the T-700s are a part of the 35-40mins of cut footage from the film. I know there are several scenes in the teasers/trailers that didn't make it to the final horrible cut of the film.
Apparently the ones you see in the factory under constructions are T-700s (the ones with the very rough finish to their skull/chest armor). Not really of much importance, as the T-700 is a slightly smaller/faster revision of the T-600, and is slightly larger/slower than the T-800. There appears to be a bigger leap between the 700 and 800, judging by how much smarter and MUCH less destructible the 800 is than the ones before it.
Obviously Marcus Wright is none of these, btw.
