Actually, this would give a somewhat plausible explanation for not killing Kyle Reese, because if they could make him into a machine then they could pretty much guarantee getting a Terminator into Conner's inner circle. Hell, they could have inadvertently sent back a Terminator to protect Sarah Conner from a Terminator (quash that pesky fate thing).
But by killing Reese Skynet DOESN'T NEED this elaborate plan of getting to Connor's inner circle. DOH !!!! You know that whole Reese being Connors daddy thing.

I just accept the fact that somehow they would still need to kill Conner in the present day, seeing how utterly broken Terminator time travel logic has been from the start.
After all, the fact that Conner is alive now means that either they cant possibly succeed at killing Reese for some reason, or killing him wont make Conner disappear. Which would then beg the question of why he needs to worry about protecting himself or his mother in the past since he made it this far-**HEAD ASPLODE**
We see the T-600 (almost every time in ripped fake human head form) and the T-1, but where were the T-700s? I don't remember seeing any since the only two skinless Terminators were the T-600 at the beginning and T-800 at the end.
I'm guessing the T-700s are a part of the 35-40mins of cut footage from the film. I know there are several scenes in the teasers/trailers that didn't make it to the final horrible cut of the film.
The model with the larger head is the T-600. The Terminator after Marcus and Kyle in L.A and the one watching guard at the Skynet facility that kills the man that attempts to make a run for it are both T-600s.
The Terminator that attacks John after the helicopter crash and the one inside the Skynet base with the mini-gun are both T-700s. It has a smaller head and body chassis than the T-600 but is still larger than the T-800.
"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."
That would be like Batman dying at the end of Dark Knight and having Alfred put on the cape and cowl.May be funny or cool at the time, but long term, just dumb.
I dont need an 'extreme-copkilling-martial artist-convict-android' to take the place of the leader of humanity.Just get some decent writers behind the movie an make John more interesting. Theres a reason why characters like Batman are more fun to read about and watch than Superman most of the time. Because batman has human flaws that he grows, learns, and adapts from. He's the underdog and has to fight harder, think smarter, than say Superman because he cant dodge bullets, lift cars, and shoot beams of light out of his eyes at criminals.
No you are wrong about Superman ...
