That's what I thought earlier and actually posted just a few posts up.
I was reacting to someone saying that the T700s weren't in the movie.
"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."
Just got back from this. It was beyond my expectations but of course still not the movie I wanted. I also didn't get why Skynet made this elaborate plan to get John and Kyle together when the Harvestor could have just squished Kyle in it's hand.
I saw this on Friday, and it wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, provided you ignore the story and enjoy the robots. My biggest problems with the plot are (forgive me if they've been addressed already. I'm too lazy to look):
- How did Skynet know about Kyle Reese? None of the terminators from previous films transmitted their data on him, so how do they know he's important?
- If Skynet can make this incredible terminator that's so convincing that even it thinks it's human, why the hell keep making the others, especially the T-800? Why not just keep making more like Marcus? They have a shit ton of humans to use, don't they?
- On the topic of Marcus, WTF kind of terminator goes down with one punch to the chest? Why would they leave such a glaring weakness? Considering how he was losing skin throughout the movie, it makes no sense. They could have just had a recording of a heartbeat or something to fool humans, since as soon as they open him up they know the truth. That was really dumb. Ah wait I know why he had a heart! It was to resolve the stupid "John Connor is dying and Marcus needs redemption" subplot.
