Thread: Wiimote "permits children to act out ... graphic torture scenes and murders"

  1. The letter apparently also raises questions about the Wiimote, which the senators note "permits children to act out each of the many graphic torture scenes and murders" in the game and asks that ESRB think about the controller's unique characteristics when rating games in the future. "Mature"-rated games are restricted to gamers age 17 and older.
Who says the wiimote doesn't make a difference.
    No gnus is good gnus.

This is why no Congressman (Females, regardless of office or occupation should never be President.) should be Presidential nominees if there are reasonable alternatives. Most of them have never run a damn thing and have no clue about the real world. They sit around and argue about pointless shit all day. If that's what it takes to be President, then TNL should get some members on the ticket.

  3. Kids act out violence all the time, what do they think little boys do with thier G.I joes? Have tea parties? The toy isles are filled with fake weapons and toys that involve violence/fighting. Its annoying when video games are used as a scapegoat for every screwed up kid commiting violent crimes.

And seriously, don't the senators have anything better to do? I didn't think this would be on their list of priorities.

Someday when the fucking baby boomers finally cease to be relevant, and our generation takes over, anyone who brings this shit up will be laughed at and out of politics. It'll be like trying use an interacial child as an issue to discredit.

Yeah, but are you ready for political debates between illiterates that learned the trade (read: arguing, not debate) on the interent?

Movies aren't required to be rated by law, and many theaters play unrated movies, sell unrated DVDs, etc. If anything the ESRB is already more strictly enforced because of console manufacturer policies.

Yes, because children can easily secretly go to the mall and spend $60 on a game and play through it without a good parent knowing.

  7. These people need to GTFO with this election year bullshit.

I bet that most of these people (that douchebag Lieberman especially) have no clue what their kids are playing, and are "shocked" when they finally realize it.

Geez, take a few minutes to skim through your kid's game collection and get a fucking clue. I'm sick of this tired-ass topic being the Rodney King of the entertainment industry every four years.

Well we know that Buddy wouldn't play with Chelsea unless meat was tied around her neck, so maybe she found solace in video games.
