Hot Fuzz. Amazing. Should've been a Best Screenplay nominee.
Point Break. A lot more surfing than I anticipated. The bank shoot-out/foot chase was awesome.
Lars and the Real Girl. 3rd time seeing it. One of my new favorites.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Not a waste of time.
The Ruins. It's a slasher, torture porn, and a survival movie without doing any of them totally effectively. Still, it's obvious through the shots and compositions that a lot of thought went into this.

I watched American Gangster and 28 Weeks Later yesterday, both were... okay. American Gangster was good but there was nothing really remarkable about it--great soundtrack, 28 Weeks Later started well and in the end just became kind of pointless. I didn't really care about any of the characters, and they fuck things up for everybody at least in Europe. I wouldn't be surprised to see another one.
I think I might rent Control or McCabe and Mrs. Miller tonight.
Lesson learned: Never take a class where they make you write a paper on a David Lynch movie.
It's pretty cute and I really liked the colors. But yeah, I think I liked it more because I was watching it while counting change or something. I just watched Karate Kid after about 11 years. What the fuck was I thinking? That movie was complete ass.
