Thread: Gamespot Reviewer Fired after Poor Review for Sponsor's Game

Thanks for the insight. Mind telling us why?

  2. He has no presence, he's shitty looking, dumpy as fuck, and irritating to listen to. I couldn't even make it through 15 seconds of his "review" before thinking that he was KBuchanan.

  3. Two things:

    1) The game is better than a 6. It's not great, but a 6 is pretty harsh.

    2) A friend called me about this yesterday. When he told me, Gerstmann came to mind, but I thought there was NO WAY he'd be the one. Then I read this thread (I hadn't followed this at all). Just wow is what I say.

BONUS) Who's going to give Nintendo games scores more in line with what they deserve (but still too high) now?

This my be the last straw as far as reading gaming websites and going to gaming messageboards. It's just gotten a bit dumb. Reviewers getting fired, Nintendo being taken seriously...not in my house. Time to crawl into my shell and play great games (KnL is not one of them).

    bye

  4. Who cares what he looks like? Video reviews aside, which I guess is the only place where it matters, all I care about is how the review is written (even then though, it's hard to care.)

  5. He's a fucking slob and he writes about videogames, they are a dime a dozen, they'll have a new guy next week, in fact where is Mark Ryan?

We know what happens, when they don't get the game they want THEN they buy the real mediocre shit just because they don't want to have wasted a trip.\
What are you talking about? Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, etc. all get games on release day in far greater quantities than GameStop, sometimes offer a discount on a new release, and rarely sell out. There is no reason whatsoever to shop at GameStop.

That might just be the weirdest "screw you all, I'm done!" post ever, but uh...later.

  8. Just watched that video review, it's not so much a critique as a slam from a dude who looks like he sleeps on a couch.

Well at least some good has come from this mess.
