About as long as Mass Effect will, which should be less than six months.

  2. $500 is still too much for me, especially when Uncharted is really all I want to play on it right now. Other than that, just about every good game on the PS3 came out on 360 first. MGS4 is the only exclusive worth mentioning right now, and Konami itself has said that 50% of the entire userbase has to buy it day 1 in order for them to break even. November was just the least shittiest month for the PS3 since launch.

And what do you mean by "equal functionality?" You're not going to chime in with the tired old "you have to pay for Live!" argument, are you?

I do agree about the reliability, but that if that's the only big plus you can come up with, then there's nothing more to be said. Right now the 360 and even the Wii are more interesting game-wise.

  3. The Japanese also used to buy games like this

    I don't trust them, it's a trap.

No, I'm talking about HDMI, WiFi, HD movie playback, play and charge, and a hard drive of a decent size.

You're looking at what the PS3 has that the 360 doesn't. Look at what the 360 has that the PC doesn't. Both consoles are weak in the exclusive department, but 2008 looks a hell of a lot better for the PS3.

    Good Lord.

  6. Hard hard is it to fuck up a game where all you have to do is hold up and hit the fucking triangle button?

    Wow.

  7. Pop Flamer rules

  8. You would think that

HDMI and the hard drive are pluses, as the 360 should have both out of the box, imo. PS3 has it beat there. A bigger HD doesn't help if there isn't anything to fill it with, and the 360 has a play and charge kit.

I don't care about PC gaming, so that's a non-issue for me. I'm still wondering what are all these massive PS3 exclusives for next year that make it a must-buy right now. I will say that if I had the spare $500, I'd buy it (I will eventually), but I don't see anything that draws me to it so eagerly. The Wii did a 180 for me with Zak & Wiki, SMG, and Ghost Squad, but I don't see the PS3 getting there just yet. Hell, it can't even do Orange Box right.

The 360 has a a few exclusives I'm interested in for next year, plus the multi-platform games. Uncharted really looks great, but I'm still waiting for that killer app.

Yakuza 3 could be awesome. That might stay PS3 exclusive. Between the PC and 360, I can't picture justifying the cost of a PS3 for a long time, though. And Pop Flamer is pretty cool. I wonder if the Aussie version will work in my Mark III.
