Thread: The Space Bar

  1. At great risk to my computer being eaten by some super virus I am going to try and get the ISOs for all three discs from some random ass website.

If it works I'll post links.

I actually own this game, but the discs are way lost.

Also since the company literally doesn't exist anymore, and I could only possibly purchase it second hand, I have no problem trying to find a way to download it.

  3. The setup for this game won't even start on a 64bit system and my laptop is not having a fun time trying to figure out how to not be 8 years old and broken.

Assuming I can get this running does anyone want me to get a link up for all three ISOs on a single download?

I'll take it off my Amazon wish list if you do.

There's some program that can be modified to replace shitty 16-bit installs for games in 64-bit OSs, I just had to use one for what I am planning to use as my Game Club entry. If I can finish the game without any huge errors I'm going with it.

Try to find a forum where people are talking about the game, hopefully someone else has done the work.

edit: it also doesn't help that the stupid fucking name will fuck with your search so nasty

  5. I don't know how this got closed. It is a mystery.

Anyway, after much effort I got it to run on my laptop (had to force it to install and run in Win95 compatibility mode and then use ATIs Catalyst manager to force the resolution to 680x480 for the computer since the game doesn't support it's own individual resolution settings) and it's awesome so far. If you can get me the info on how to get this going on my 64bit machine I'd appreciate it.

I'll get this hosted up tomorrow for those interested.

  6. I don't even think I can stress how good the voice acting is in this. All the memories of how fucking deep and intense this game is are rushing back. It does not fuck around.

One huge downside so far: If you fuck up a memory, no matter how far in, you do the whole thing over again. It's kind of brutal.

  7. This game has a lot of parts where you just sit in a room or a box and listen to conversations for no less than ten minutes waiting for your time to do something. It's not the best design choice, but I bet the first time most people hear this stuff they'll enjoy it. The humor and creativity of the dialogue is just levels beyond what most games have even today.

Was no one interested in me hosting this?
