We knew that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith's existence would mean no Aerosmith DLC for Rock Band and now it's confirmed. No Walk This Way makes me somewhat sad.
I'll be pissed if Activision announces Aerosmith: Van Halen.
EDIT: Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Too much GTA4 in my mind right now.

Or be totally awesome.
Newsweek has another article on Harmonix. I found this tidbit interesting.
The most buzz, though, is about what Harmonix will do next. Add a keyboard? A turntable to scratch out hip-hop tunes? An iPod version of Rock Band? (Harmonix already has an iPod game called Phase.) Rigopulos and Egozy won't reveal their next act, other than to admit they're trying to land songs from bands like the Beatles, U2 and Springsteen. But something's up. Harmonix is looking to hire 70 more employees. The biggest hint comes from Greg LaPiccolo, Harmonix's product-development chief and former bass player for the indie band Tribe. "Now it's like karaoke," he says. "The long-term ambition is to give players more creative freedom." That means you'll eventually be able to create your own guitar leads and wailing vocal fills. It's unclear, of course, whether that presumed artistry will help you gain or lose points in the game.

It sucks, but I find that sometimes you have to sacrifice timbre for pitch.
In others words, just sing clearly in your natural singing voice without trying to imitate the vocal style of the real singer.
Kind of kills the authenticity of the experience, but at least it's better than failing the song.
Rock Band content for next week.
Next week for DLC we have a 3-pack. Each song is available at $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the whole Scene Pack.
The three tracks are-
“This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” by Fallout Boy (master)
“Date With The Night” by Yeah Yeah Yeahs (master)
“It Hurts” by Angels & Airwaves (master)

That's a great YYY's track.
DLC for the Wii and PS2!
$30, you don't get to choose which songs you want, and you have to swap disks? From day one, downloadable content was a core focus for Harmonix's Rock Band. However, only the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game have supported downloadable content, much to the chagrin of those who purchased last year's PlayStation 2 version of the game, as well as those who plan to purchase the Wii edition when it launches next month.
However, the music cannot be stopped. Harmonix announced today that it is bringing downloadable content to the Wii and PS2 versions of Rock Band, just not in downloadable form. Instead, gamers will be able to buy a disc from retailers containing songs previously released as downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 will include 20 master tracks from 20 different artists, and will retail for $29.99 when it launches July 15.
The full list of included tracks follows:
30 Seconds to Mars--"The Kill"
All American Rejects--"Move Along"
Blink – 182--"All the Small Things"
Boston--"More Than a Feeling"
David Bowie--"Moonage Daydream"
Faith No More--"We Care A Lot"
