You're going to have to explain this...

As in, the parts are totally seperated between L/R channels and they staunchly profess that's the way it's Meant To Be. I always have to skip past Beatles songs when I listen to music at work because I only listen with one earbud in, which usually means various elements are conspicuously absent. I swear I saw something recently where they were still defending this.

Its also possible that because of the recording techniques of the time and the archival quality of analog tape that this is just the way things are now and you can't do shit about it. You can't separate a drum track and a guitar once its mixed down.
