Also Gameplay is pretty heavily discounted over european retail which takes some of the sting off the shitty exchange rate. I imported the European Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) before the US release was out for less than the US launch price, even after shipping (which took only 4 days).

Yeah, two interactive scenes cut out, other non-interactive scenes edited, and the US version was on like 8 CDs and the Euro one was on DVD. Also back then US PC games still had shitty cardboard packages and the Euro one was in a DVD case (as almost all PC games there are).
Basically the US hates computer games and tits, and Europe doesn't.
