Thread: "The Day After Tomorrow" come true

  2. Ice storms are both awesome and horrible at the same time. On the one side *everything* looks really really cool covered in 9 million inches of ice, and you can pretty much skate and do fun shit everywhere. On the down side it stays around for weeks and cripples everything to a complete and utter halt.

  3. we had a major ice storm here a few years back it was fun

  4. There was an ice storm last winter when I was at school and I didn't have class for a week. It was awesome.

  5. My car is absolutely doused in ice and snow. This sucks.

  6. Here's a story of Chemistry 101.

So I wake up today and my car is covered in ice, it's really fucking cool I love it. Except I drive a 97 geotracker with a plastic back window. So I let the car warm itself up and don't even bother touching the plastic window as surely it will shatter. Start driving, unable to see out the back window but that's ok I can see every dick head with his lights on at least versus the pieces of shit who drive without their lights on which deserve to rear end me anyways.

Anyways so I grab some Tupperware that was sitting in my front seat, and figure "Hey this will knock off the ice, it's been long enough" sure enough I throw it back and hit it, and the ice falls off, or at least the ice has cracked and started to fall off.

Only to shortly realize after that I cracked my back window.

Remember the Ice Storm of '93 when we were frehsmen in high school?

I remember waking up on my parents couch and looking out the window to see people ice skating down the sidewalks and streets. Oh, and there was acutal Ice Hockey being played in the private pool behind my parents house. 'Twas a bit surreal.

I learned how to drive in that ice storm.

Also: ice skated down the road that goes out to rt. 3 (crossgate) and got going SO FAST. It was awesome.

  10. Well, I just went outside, both my cars are in the garage so they are fine, however my garage door was iced over and wouldn't open, so I had to kick it a few times.
