I was pretty excited for a Hobbit movie until the 3rd one was announced. My enthusiasm is really low now.

Yeah, I really wish they had stuck with two movies. I'm guessing this has the King Kong problem of way too many scenes that dilute the total movie.

King Kong's length, including the extended version, didn't bother me. At least it was a single film. Love the Hobbit and all things LOTR, but I can't see how this book can be stretched into 3 films successfully.
I'm hoping that once all the movies are out some Internet magic man edits them all into a two or three hour movie.
Perhaps I will be that magic man.
