It's the market. The people here willingly pay $20-30 for Music CDs, $20 for theater Movies and $50+ for DVDs.
And the consumer here doesn't seem to be waking up.

Yeah the CDs at the Boredoms show were $20 a pop. The guy working the merch table was an employee of the venue, and seemed to be having to apologize to people. I specifically heard him say, "Sorry guys, that what they want to charge for them." I also never saw anyone buy anything other than Vinyl OOIOO LPs.

And they only put like 1-2 episodes on a DVD there, too. It's like 1970s VHS shit there.
It's not always quite that bad, usually 4 episodes to a DVD.
But yeah, it's a load of shit and it's disgusting that the public here lets them get away with it.

Hey I've seen that show before and wondered what it was. I read a translation of the one where the guy plays SF2 for SFC. It was odd but funny.
