Thread: Tales of Vesperia

  1. Currently at the last Dungeon going to fight the final boss and I'm currently stuck luckily enough you're allowed to leave the dungeon and go back outside. I've pretty muched wasted all my items trying to move my way around this damn maze, not to mention the monsters here are TOUGH...so i'm gonna go back outside to restock and level up.

Knowing that this is coming to an end i feel a little sad. The game has lived up to my expectation, though there were somethings i wished it had; but over all, TOV is awesome and i can't wait for another tales game.

Psychedelica or its +1 version, both made through synthesis. 2 Ilyccian Ice, 2 Mystic Cloth, 2 Aer Agaric.

  3. I am getting absolutely bitched by Duke's second form. I didn't notice the damn transport down the tower part until after I had failed the fight twice; going in with no seal breakers and only 6 life bottles was a considerable handicap, but still, it's another case of easy boss easy boss easy boss -what the hell is this?-

Left, bought minor equipment upgrades, and maxed out on all items possible. Hopefully that makes a difference.

  4. If you think that's bad don't even thing of getting the fell arms and fighting his third form. FUCK THAT DUDE. Seriously. He has a move that not only is unblockable and nearly kills your whole party, but heals half his life as well.

  5. Haha, Fell Arms Duke is awesome. I love his second Mystic Arte.
If you haven't learned Revive for Estelle it is a pretty nice cushion for any of Duke's phases.

Finally beat it on Unknown a couple days ago and now I'm trying to win my first 200 man Arena with Yuri on the same difficulty. Hooray for blowing through a bunch of Rebirth Dolls... EDIT: Finally won it with Yuri a few minutes ago, what a rush. Took a while to learn the basics of survival there but it was pretty fun, even though on some of my better runs I ended up getting petrified and losing when I was maybe 7 monsters away from being done. Didn't use as many Rebirth Dolls as I thought I would have needed either... ended up using maybe 5 or 6.

  6. Beat the game a couple of days ago and the ending was kind of mixed for me; i didn't like nor did i hate it. Were any of you satisfied with it? I was kinda hoping to see more interaction with the characters once it was over.

Over all, ToV was awesome and i give it a 9. On the first run through i beat the game at level 70 and i still had difficulties fighting those damn monsters at the last dungeon. Did anybody do any of the side quest in the game? I had a hard time trying to initiate Judith spear search, i didn't know where to begin.

Yeah my favorite part of the game was when the characters were talking to each other at night in that town before the final dungeon. I wish they would have had more of that after the ending too. I thought it was waaay too short.

The new game + stuff is pretty cool though. Not going to play through it again though.

This is one of the things that really irritates me about this game -- if you miss some really random events early on (that you have NO idea about), you are locked out of most of the side quests in the game.

Judith's Spear sidequest starts with a random hotspot in Rita's hut after you explore the ruins east of Asipo looking for the blastia thief. Yes, the fourth quest in the game. Ugh.

  9. No Way....i was waaaay past that part. I thought it would trigger after the Don incident b/c i had to deal with that other guild. I'm still debating whether or not i should do New Game +, i did not have enough grades to carry over what i wanted.

Well, here's hoping ToS2 is as good as this, so i guess i'll have to wait for that one.

It isn't. It's a rushed piece of crap that recyles all the levels from ToS and still doesn't even have an overworld because they didn't have enough time.
